Free Tapeworm treatment with every box of Advocate.

Do you treat your dog monthly with Advocate? If so you will be providing protection from a multitude of parasites including fleas, lice, mites, some intestinal worms, heart worm, skin worm and lungworm.

Lungworm cases in dogs have increased by 50% in the South East in the last 6 years, and if left untreated, can prove fatal. Transmission is via frogs, slugs and snails, and even their slime trails. By using Advocate monthly, you are both treating and preventing lungworm infestation.

We also recommend at least twice yearly treatment of tapeworm using a product called Droncit. Tapeworms are generally acquired by infestation of fleas, infected birds or rodents. They attach themselves to the animal’s intestines and can grow up to 20cm long.

Until the end of the year, we are offering a free tapeworm treatment with every box of Advocate purchased at the surgery, so you can ensure your pet is fully protected.

If you would like to check if your pet has the correct level of parasite protection, please book a complimentary parasite prevention appointment with one of our qualified nurses.
