Our family is growing! Worthing, you asked, we answered.
We’re delighted to announce that we’re opening a new practice in Worthing in late August, welcome news for our existing clients who live there and currently choose to drive to one of our locations in Pulborough, Ashington, Westergate or Storrington. We’re proud to say they make this choice because of our traditional values, personal service and clinical excellence, and we’re thrilled to be in a position to support them closer to home and extend our family roots a little further with new a dedicated team.
Heading up that team will be Colleen Colver, who is well known in Worthing and really understands our ethos of building bonds with our clients and their pets, great communication, continuity of care and of course, clinical excellence.
We may be growing, but it’s our promise to you to retain the same family values that sets us ‘a breed apart’. Our dedicated vets and nurses understand the importance of having your confidence and trust; personal care, excellent communication and traditional values are all integral to the ethos of our team. Whether we’re seeing your pet at our state of the art hospital in Storrington or one of our sister practices, you’ll receive the same high consistency of care.
As many of you are aware, we’re an independent practice, meaning your pet is our only priority. We maintain the freedom to tailor treatment based on the most appropriate course of action while seeking the best possible value for you. We’re not restricted by corporate policies and procedures; our trusted team is driven by what’s best for your pet and we use our expertise to help you make well informed choices about their health. By operating independent of a corporate structure, our dedicated team is enabled to go that extra mile; developing a long standing relationship with you and trusted bond with your pet.
It’s incredibly exciting to be in the planning phase of our fifth comprehensive practice. Like our sister practices in Pulborough, Ashington and Westergate, the Worthing team will be able to undertake comprehensive general practice services, while benefitting from the support of our flagship hospital in Storrington if pets need hospitalisation overnight, or in the case of an emergency. As Storrington is the only independent practice in West Sussex with the combined accreditation of Hospital and Emergency and Critical Care status through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme, the pets of Worthing will be assured of the Arun Vet Group hallmark continuity of care.
There’s a lot to do between now and when we open in late August, but with the unwavering support of our dedicated team we’re confident our fifth location will be a sterling addition to the Arun Vet Group family.
Whether you’re an existing client, or you’d like to join one of the few family-owned, independent practices in Worthing, we’d love to welcome you to our Grand Opening. Just as we did when we opened our Westergate practice and Storrington hospital, we’ll be throwing a family-fun party and welcoming the public to view the facilities and meet the fantastic team who’ll be caring for Worthing’s pets.
Arun Vet Group, 2 The Strand, Goring By Sea, Worthing, BN12 6DN

I am glad you recognise “Birdie Day” – 11th March! It was exactly 6 years ago to the day, that I collected Birdie from Patience Walden (Nedlaw Beagles – Four Marks, Alton). It was the worst snow fall of the last 6 years too, so poor Birdie couldn’t find a place to pee on her new deep snow covered lawn!
Many congratulations Matt and all at Arun Vets on your new Worthing practice.
Regards
John Gidney
