Our Storrington Hospital is Growing!
After a lot of planning, we are thrilled to be starting work on the expansion of our independent hospital in Storrington. We are adding a two-storey extension that will give us much-needed additional space to meet the increasing demand within the local area.
Our flagship 24-hour Storrington hospital already provides a complete service under one roof, from routine veterinary care through to emergency treatment and more complex interventions, including advanced diagnostics and surgery.
As part of the extension, we will be adding several new facilities that will allow us to expand the range of services we provide:
- A second theatre – this will enable us to increase our capacity for the more complex procedures our Advanced Practitioner surgeons offer, such as TPLO (Tibeal Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) for cruciate rupture; correction of patella luxation; fracture repair; laparoscopic spaying; and correction of BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome).
- CT scanning suite – CT (Computerised Tomography) is a sophisticated form of 3D x-ray and is the preferred diagnostic imaging test for many veterinary conditions particularly in larger patients.
- Underwater treadmill hydrotherapy as part of our rehabilitation services – underwater treadmill therapy can benefit pets with arthritis, aid recovery from orthopaedic surgery, and improve fitness of competition or working dogs.
While we can’t wait for these new facilities to be up and running, we recognise that there will be some disruption while we get there! The first stage of the building works – building the external shell – is complete and the second stage – the internal fit out – is well underway. The main change will be to parking for our clients; rather than parking in front of the hospital, clients will now be able to park in the bays down the left side of the building, which are clearly designated with AVG signs.
As we move further into the second stage of the build, we will continue to provide services as normal as much as possible. There will be some noise and dust, and we may have to limit services at times but we will keep you informed of any impact this has on appointments, operations and hospitalised patients.
Thank you for bearing with us as we adapt to working with builders on site.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their ongoing support and encouragement.

OUR EMERGENCY SERVICE WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE 24/7 THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING WORKS
